Mori Pottery, a pottery representative of Otani ware

Otani ware, which originated in Oasacho, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, is a traditional pottery with a history of approximately 240 years. It has been designated as a national traditional craft. In the past, many large water jars and pots were made, and they were shaped using a unique technique called "nekase-yaki."
Mori Pottery, located in Oasa Town, the birthplace of Otani ware, has a particularly eye-catching climbing kiln that is a nationally registered tangible cultural property. Here, surrounded by nature in all four seasons, each piece of pottery is carefully handcrafted.
Mori Pottery's Commitment

Mori Pottery values natural materials and traditional techniques, and delivers each piece carefully crafted. The soft forms that can only be achieved by hand and the subtle variations in the glaze create a unique look for each piece.
The more you use it, the more it becomes familiar to you, becoming a comfortable part of your life.
We were drawn to the appeal of Mori's Otani ware, which combines flexibility and innovation by incorporating the needs of each era.
