Citrus products made deep in the mountains
Sanagouchi Village is the only village in the prefecture, located about 30 minutes by car from Tokushima City.
Matsuyama Oil has a farm and distillery on a hillside, and since the fall of 2020 has been operating a mountaintop fruit and herb garden.
The crops are not being used due to reasons such as "We can't harvest them because there aren't enough people to do it" and "They don't meet the standards so we can't ship them."
We collect Japanese citrus fruits, including yuzu, and use them all up by transforming them into valuable products such as essential oils, beverages, and food.
We started handling this product as we were inspired by their vision of revitalizing Satoyama through circular agriculture, which returns the profits to the farmers.
The staff are always cheerful, smiling, and polite, and are overflowing with love for their products and their company.
These products are made with careful consideration for the human body and nature, focusing on Tokushima's signature citrus fruits such as sudachi and yuzu, and once you try them, you'll never want to let them go.
They cultivate and research the plants and fruits they use as ingredients in-house, so you can rest assured that they are in close contact with the ingredients, which is the source of their reliable product creation.
One of the attractions of the orchard is its community-based initiatives, such as open gardening and production activities with local producers.
